FUNDRAISING FOR BURLEY IN WHARFEDALE COMMUNITY MANAGED LIBRARY

WE HAVE A NEW HOT WATER BOILER!! BUT WE DO STILL NEED YOUR HELP!!
The library has had no income from fines and fees, donations or rental since the start of the Coronavirus crisis in March. We do still have substantial outgoings in the form of maintenance, staff costs and extra cleaning. Bradford Council is continuing to support our business rates and utility costs for the time-being.
Also, we still have a small “wish list” of extra items such as social distancing measures for children’s outdoor activities, book stands for the children’s library, blackout blinds, sun blinds and storage cupboards that we can’t at the present time afford. We also have on-going costs for the children’s activities that we hope to re-introduce to the library shortly.
We also have a brand new exciting and sustainable project for the village which we are launching in Spring 2021. It is called "Green Shoots" and we would welcome any donations - monetary or otherwise. Watch this space for more details ...
Unfortunately, the reduced library budget does not stretch to include all these things. If any local businesses or individuals would like to contribute towards specific items, the library team would be really pleased to hear from you.
We are also happy to accept donations of any amount towards our “wish/needs list” – even under £1. It all adds up!!
Thank you to all our loyal customers – we couldn’t keep going without you.
If you would like to donate we have envelopes for anonymous donations in the library or contact us on burleylibrary@gmail.com
